Pooja

 

Though Amman and temple are for Venduvan, Pannai and Panaiyan kulam nowadays all people are coming to worship Amman.

 

Since there is no statute for Amman, there is no regular pooja to Amman. Only Campher, Dheepam, the offering of fruits and lemons are done. Apart from this devotees offer Milk, Curd, Panjamirtham, Turmeric water etc. for pooja.

 

Devotees offer their agriculture produce like coconut, banana, groundnut, rice, jaggery etc. to Amman and distribute them freely to all devotees.

 

Temple Timings

 

The Temple is opened only on Tuesdays. All other days it will be closed. On Tuesdays, the temple will be opened in the morning and will be closed on Wednesday early morning only.  Even on Tuesdays, the Pooja starts only at 12 midnight and sometimes it may take 4.00 am in the morning to end Pooja

 

 

Women not allowed

 

Though God is Amman, Ladies are allowed inside the compound, even they are small kids. Ladies worship from outside by lighting and offering lamps in front of the temple mandapam, near Naali Kinaru, and along the walking path around the compound wall. 

 

Only male all allowed inside the temple. Women are not allowed to inside. Even it is very small kind they are not allowed. Ladies after lighting lamps are offered Vipoothi the sacred ash and can take rest in the front mandapam.

 

Stay at temple

 

The devotees can stay and sleep in the hall which is available inside the premises.
